Dyann Daley, M.D.

Pediatric Anesthesiologist
Child Maltreatment Prevention Executive

Seven years into working as a pediatric anesthesiologist, the loss of a physically abused toddler who bled to death on my operating room table compelled me find a way to help children vulnerable to child abuse and neglect.  I'm now the Founder and CEO of a Texas-based nonprofit, Predict Align Prevent.

Utilizing location-based predictive analytics, market segmentation, bright spot analysis, systems theory, and collective impact, my mission is to discover practical and scaleable solutions to prevent child abuse and neglect.

For me, there is nothing more important than helping little children who are suffering and dying at the hands of the people meant to love and protect them.  If you feel the same, please join me.

Thank you,

Dyann

Aligning Community Resources for Prevention:
A Geospatial Analysis of Risk and Protective Community Factors

Room: Maryland C

Presenters: Carl Ayers, Virginia Department of Social Services;  Dyann Daley, M.D., Predict Align Prevent

Predictive analytics is a growing trend in child welfare. Geospatial analytics is a model that uses location-based data to assess risk prior to a child entering the child welfare system, reflecting the national trend and movement towards early identification and prevention of child abuse. Geospatial analytics uses location-based data to build maps, which have been successful in identifying the geographic locations of future child maltreatment. Community members and stakeholders identify existing services and the gaps in services for the high-risk locations. Engaging a variety of community members and stakeholders redefines the responsibility of protecting children to all community members.
